At our last club meeting we discussed something that really shouldn't be happening.
A fish at Mill Brow was found with a large hook (around a size 4) still in it, attached to braid.
As everyone should know, braided line is not permitted on SWAS waters, and using tackle that isn't in line with our rules puts fish welfare at risk.
Because of this, our bailiffs will now be carrying out spot checks of rigs while out on patrol. If you're fishing within the rules, you've got absolutely nothing to worry about.
